Dr. Gibson is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive total hip and knee replacement. He has been performing anterior hip replacement since 2010. He is actively involved in training and has been invited to lecture and demonstrate anterior hip replacement techniques for other orthopedic surgeons. Dr. Gibson also performs partial knee resurfacing, ligament-preserving total knee replacement, and total knee replacement using minimally invasive approaches. He is actively involved in research and is committed to improving the quality of life of his patients. Dr. Gibson currently develops protocols for outpatient joint replacement and is one of the first surgeons to perform outpatient total hips in Michigan.
Dr. Gibson is passionate about treating patients with osteoarthritis with conservative alternatives and surgery. He has been in practice in Brighton for years and is a local in the community. He also serves as the Brighton High School team physician.
Dr. Gibson graduated medical school from the University of North Texas in 2005. He completed his residency at Michigan State in 2010. He spent a year of his residency traveling across the country to learn advanced techniques in joint replacement including Baylor University in Dallas, University of Texas Houston, and in Florida at Tampa General Hospital. He currently practices in Brighton, Michigan at Saint Joseph Mercy Brighton and Saint Joseph Mercy Livingston.
